Robert M. Black, CLU, ChFC, AEP®
A senior partner and one of the five founding partners at Atlas Advisory Group, LLC, Bob has been providing financial advice to clients for more than 40 years.
As an advisor to high net worth clients—including executives, business owners, physicians, and other successful professionals—Bob works closely with each client’s professional team, advising accountants, estate attorneys, and others to help ensure all aspects of the client’s financial life are designed to help reach his or her long-term goals and objectives. He specializes in helping clients with significant assets to grow and protect wealth using innovative estate planning, wealth transfer, investment management, life insurance, retirement planning, and IRA distribution strategies.
No stranger to the critical need for financial planning and the sustaining benefits of life insurance, Bob was forced to face financial realities at just 16 years old when his father—the family bread winner—passed away unexpectedly. His decades-long focus on helping others prepare for the unexpected came full circle when two of his daughters succumbed to terminal illnesses within a four-year period. Bob’s personal experiences and those of his clients have deepened his passion for protecting families through careful planning.
A graduate of St. Peter’s University, Bob is a member of the Advanced Association of Life Underwriters (AALU), the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT)*, the National Association of Estate Planning Councils ( NAEPC), and the Estate and Financial Planning Council of Central New Jersey (EFPCCNJ). He is a two-term Past President of the Monmouth-Ocean Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals (SFSP). Widely recognized for his industry knowledge, Bob has shared his financial insights with audiences at civic groups, professional medical societies, bar associations, and other organizations in and around New York City.
